Good one, DLsite.


For fuck's sake..

So, Eroico is up on DLsite, but they removed the config.txt file from the game's folder, meaning the game starts in a messed up screen mode for some players. I guess they just remove random shit from creator's submissions in addition to stealing from them through incorrect exchange rates. Brilliant.

I've emailed them asking to have the file put back in, so hopefully it will be corrected by tomorrow. It's a wonder it's selling at all, given that a good number of people won't ever get past the menu screen.

If you do happen to run into window related problems up starting the game, press F4 and then go to the options screen, which will fix the problem.

    It has let me entertain Eroico.
    I think was worried about one, Eroico and Kurovadis are reverse rape(逆レイプ) rather than rape(レイプ).
    So, it seems those who rewrite the genre do better.

    Sorry they're giving you trouble! Glad it is selling, though. A standard search on Eroico would send you to this blog, no? You could edit this post with a lil blurb in Japanese explaining the error, and a link to the config file on megaupload or something?

    That way anyone who purchased the game via the DLsite has access to a fix with minimal searching.

    Anyone know how to beat the 3'rd Boss?
    It seem all My attack are useless

    Or did I miss some power UPs?
    Can it not be beaten by normal attack?

      The way to beat the third boss is to wait until after she does her ground charge attack, she will go into the right corner and throw a magical ball down at you. If you hit it with your sword, you play 'ping pong' with her until she gets hit, (Or you do, but you want to avoid that) that's the only way to damage her, with her own powers basically.

    That sucks Ky. It's unfortunate that you have to use DLSite, but at least it lets you reach a wider audience.... god knows you deserve the exposure.

    I started off kind of wary about this game, as the male protagonist getting molested wasn't my thing... but I gave it a shot anyway because I like your other products. And I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The most important thing is this game is fun, even as hard as it is. Thanks.

    I have decided to put a review of your game in this comment section cause there where not any better place for it.

    The game is pretty cool aspecally since Iam a monster girl lover but there is a few things I would like to point out so you can improve yourself and making the players of your games happier :)

    1. Difficulty levels only seem to change the health of the enemies.

    2. To few checkpoints.

    3. To many extremly annoying trap rooms with jumping puzzles that requires you to be some sort of platforming god with super luck to get past without failing so many times it makes you very frustrated.

    Other than those points the game is very nice with cool boss fights and a varity of monster girl enemies all with their own cg rape scenes.
    I would like to see more of this game or a game like it but please think about the things Ive said :)

      I agree with all 3 points. Some of the 'hit the shiny square with your sword so you jump, have perfect timing or you fall and continually take damage' things made me want to throw my computer out of a window. Dying and then having to go back really far and re-fight my way back got old fast.

    Hopefully another electronic vendor will come to compete with DLsite eventually, sounds to me like they have a monopoly for the time being. I've seen their pricing models and I have to say that a 50% markup for an electronic download is really gouging....

      Looking at DLsite's rates for Japanese creators, I assume that the companies are associated with each other, because they looked to be about the same, if I recall.

      Now play (and buy) Kurovadis! In my opinion, better than Eroico. Even if it is a lower resolution.

    I looked at the game on dlsite. I think Kurovadis' cover page was better. The one for Eroico seems simpler. If that's the impression you wanted to give, then it's all good.

    Also, it seems they've just looked at the two sample pictures for the genre tags. Probably you'll need to handpick which tags actually make up the game before submitting, rather than leaving it to them (since, as I said, they just didn't do much).

    I wonder what the first comment will say on there. Anyway, good luck on your sales, Kyrieru.

    I bought Kurovadis. Tried this one, turns out I can't get off to Run or Rape with a male protagonist. Not trying to judge people who do, but I personally can't. Though I did try, the gameplay in the demo was fun to say the least. Looking forward to your next one, hearing as it's gonna be a female protagonist.

    To play the devil's advocate, you have to also consider that when a product is listed on DLSite, you are gaining exposure to their audience and email subscriber-base too, so you have to factor in their costs and the value of their service. Also, it might be helpful if you included a URL to your site on your DLSite seller account so people can find patches, fixes, news, updates, etc.. Not everyone is going to Google search for your site.

    hey buddy, i bought your game but it is not working. it enters the game, geos to the menu screen and then i cant select any options, it just selects exit and wont responde. only the esc key works? any ideas?

      Try plugging in a gamepad, or unplugging one. Other than that I have no idea.

      nah thats alright not ur games fault, probably my pc, im gonna try and fix it. i tried the gamepad idea. no go there. any one else have any ideas? and i just found out it also happens on some other games that i have downloaded like nano crisis' new game. maybe its to do with game maker?

      sounds like you might have some kind of driver conflict, an easy walk around (if your lazy like me and don't feel like trouble shooting) is to set the game to use keyboard and use a 3ed party controller program like joy2key and set it to use keyboard emulation. not really sure if this will work in your case but its worth a try i guess

    Ah, just a warning, but attempting the putlocker download for the demo caused it to put the delta-search malware on my computer while trying to download its program (which it attempted without confirmation or my permission and closed Firefox to do to boot). It took me forever to get rid of the malware afterwards and it's apparently fairly notorious.

    Glad I grabbed my working demo when I did, and sorry to hear about your DLsite issues. This is why I'm glad the option to buy and download through other means exists because I'm sure you got your full amount as anticipated, and I got a working file with all the trimmings. Sure, my version has bugs, but frankly speaking none of them have interrupted my gameplay! It's really a shame you're having so many issues since it really is a very wonderful game.

    Bug: When playing in windowed mode the game over CG results in the window centering on the upper left corner of the screen and ignoring window size settings. It looks like you're centering the window on (0,0), which contrary to every graph ever is the upper left corner.

    Bug: There is a volume control for voice, in spite of the game having no voice acting.

    Bug: In windowed mode the game listens to input even if it no longer has focus.


    On an unrelated note, what's line 16 in prog.dll? It's the only 0 I see. Placeholder? CG that didn't make the cut?

      Nah, I'm just going to be starting the game full time soon, and I wasn't really doing any more concepts. I'm going to replace it later with daily artwork.

    I'd like to ask whether we can expect V11? The main reason I ask is because of current gallery being rather troublesome - I mean, CG one is fine but I'd rather have enemy animations seen without having to fight through them. Would it be possible to just have a screen for every enemy with short description and ability to scroll through different animations? It would be far, far more convenient.

    Whether it is or it's not possible for now, please consider implementation of something more of a profile pages for different monsters in the future games rather than this thing.

    Other than that, yes - Eroico, while quite demanding for me, is really fun and you get plenty of extra points for using very rare guy vs female enemies RoR, rather than traditional one with female protagonist. Hope you'll do something in such theme in the future, too.

      Implementing a lot of what you suggested would probably take more time and effort then he wants to invest, I can see why he set it up the way he did because it already uses the same game mechanics that already exist. What you suggested isn't impossible but it would take more time to implement.

    well i fixed my keybord problems :D and got to play eroico and i have to say, it is HARD (lack of save points) but really fun i love this game and even without the e-content i would still buy it, as long as you use paypal and i got some money in my account kyrieru, you have yourself a regular here lol
