I'm back home, still in recovery from surgery.
It will a while before I can judge the long term success of the surgery, but for now, after a couple weeks of recovery I am already able to work normally for the most part (compared to before the procedure, where I could barely work at all).
My first priority will be getting the Steam release of Kurovadis out of the way. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than a month, since I want to get the ball rolling on everything. However I need to do it first given that my inactivity has put a strain on my income (that and the cost of the surgery).
The hard part will be restraining myself from working all day given how long I've been unable to work, however I need to try and balance work with exercise, and take advantage of my current good condition to make sure this doesn't all just happen again in a few months, let alone a few years.
Anyhow, that's all for now. Once I am fully recovered I may try streaming stuff as I work. I have a walking treadmill I can stick in front of my desk, so maybe I'll try and take an hour or so each day to stream while working, and make a habit out of it.
You must do it,Kyrieru, for the art's sake.
ReplyDeleteRest Dante,heal your wounds(c)
Nice my man. Cheers to good health
ReplyDeleteGood shit dude, best of luck with your full recovery!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're doing better, Kyrieru!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you back with us! Looking forward to more of what you do.
ReplyDeleteRise from your grave
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you're recovering. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know your specific problems, but I've heard a lot of good things about keto and carnivore diets. Apparently sugar and carbs are at the root of most people's health problems, from diabetes to cancer and other issues too. It's a really difficult diet though and I struggle a lot with it myself.
Glad to hear some good news for you, even if it's still a work in progress. I think I already have all of your games, but I'm eager to support you, so maybe some stream subs will do the trick. You did make one of my favorite games ever, afterall.
ReplyDeleteWork streams? Heck yeah!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're better now. ^^
hope you stay well you've brought enough entertainment to people to deserve that already (sorry for the cheesyness)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned balancing work with exercise. It would've meant nothing if you didn't prioritise the condition of your own body. I'm glad you're back though.
ReplyDeleteKeep looking after yourself and the work that comes with it will get easier and easier too so long as you pace yourself accordingly.
hello, Glad to hear that your're fine. My congratulations. i'm really sorry to ask about your work right after you reterned, but I'd like to specify your long-term plans for Lufuclad. I couldn't find it niether in current projects nor in abandoned ones so I'd like to know if i should wait for it or not.
ReplyDeleteIf I remember correctly he may make it into a full game and dedicate a full dev time to it, as it was becoming harder to deal with bugs while adding new stuff, while only working on it one day of the week. Take what I say with a grain of salt but I think he said he may go back to it after he releases noika.
DeleteI will be working on it as a full game at some point, rather than as a weekly game. However I don't know what the priority of it will be over other projects.
DeleteWELCOME BACK HOMIE!!! Glad to see your recovering nicely do continue to take care of yourself alright.
ReplyDeleteYass! It´s good to have ya back bro! Take care of yourself! We want you to stay healthy! And if that means that you will work less and take longer for any Games then so be it! ; D
ReplyDeleteWelcome back into the world of the living ! Take care of your health first and foremost, that's what's most important !
ReplyDeleteAs for the money aspect, maybe you could open up a patreon, a gofundme or something similar ? I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to support you.
Keep getting better !
Hello. I had recently found out about your game. I hope you are doing well. I will gladly support this project anyway I can. Good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteTHE MAN
ReplyDeleteHE LIVES
I was checking out you're tutorial (learned a ton by the way) when the dread started to kick in, but I've had trouble with "ripping away" from my work too so here's something that may help.
Actions can be tied to locations, it's the 2nd reason gyms are popular, if you have a room or place you always do something then it's easier to get into it, and if you don't need to do it then just leave that space.
Get healthy soon!
ReplyDeleteNothing is as important than being happy in life and health aids that to a great amount.
Welcome back :)
ReplyDeletetake it easy, we will always wait for your progress
Welcome back, glad to hear you're better.
ReplyDeleteIs the Steam version of Kurovadis going to feature any updates like the new game over screens you posted earlier? I am probably going to buy it regardless to support
Glad to hear you're back! Looking forward to more from you but hope you take it slow and mind your health.
ReplyDeleteYAY! I just found Erotia and thought it was fantastic. Im glad to see more of your games will be coming to steam.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery! If you decide to stream I would love to watch you work
ReplyDeleteI think at this point I've purchased Kurovadis 4 times accidentally and/or when trying to keep all my games on one or two reliable sites! On Steam it will be the 5th! But if helping a skilled artist and designer keep that creative flame going then it's never a waste!
ReplyDeleteI've paid for 4 versions of Cave Story, I know the feeling lmao
DeleteLET'S GOOOOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteSo uh, how's progress with getting Kurovadis on Steam?

ReplyDeleteHey kyrieru! Glad to see you're alive man. Do you have a twitch or youtube channel or something like that where you might stream stuff? If yes then can you please tell me? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteP.s: do you pay taxes?
Kyrieru, glad to hear from you. I hope your recovery goes smoothly. Health is most important. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI know it's a bit late, but I hope you to recover asap and get your stuff on Steam. Though it's kinda hard to earn some money these days since covid, I still try to get some funds on Steam just to buy your games, though I've played them bunch before through some piracy sites. I know they aren't something developers want to know about, but I think that they made it possible to your work reach more people and they might be just like me, that when I like any game, I buy it so I can give my support to their developers. I hope you get better soon and to get back to Noaika (I've been on it for quite a while already) haha
